Hammer of the Gods, The Led Zeppelin Experience is coming to the Sherman Theater! Brace yourself as this incredible act takes the stage on March 6th to pay tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. If you’re a fan of Zeppelin and all their classic hits, from Kashmir, Dazed & Confused, Stairway to Heaven, and Moby Dick, then you can’t miss this. Considered to be one of the ultimate Led Zeppelin cover bands, this act has been touring the east coast since 2003. Their sound is flawless and they truly recreate the Zeppelin experience complete with insane sound effects, a spectacular light show, authentic instruments, and vintage style clothing. This super group, formed by drummer Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater also consists of Paul Gilbert on guitar (formerly of the band Mr. Big) Dave LaRue (of Dixie Dregs) on bass, and Daniel Gildenlow (of Pain of Salvation) for vocals.

Growing up, Portnoy’s father worked as a DJ at a local radio station, from an early age he grew a strong love and appreciation for bands such as Queen, The Who, Yes, The Beatles, and of course Led Zeppelin. He taught himself how to play the drums and has since been praised for his incredible gift seeing as how he is the second youngest person to be inducted into the Modern Drummer’s Hall of Fame at 37. After teaming up with fellow musicians over seven years ago, Portnoy had truly turned his dream of paying tribute to not only one of his favorites, but one of the most influential bands ever known into a reality. While you may feel like you’ve gone through a time warp, you certainly will be blown away. Catch this amazing act while you can by purchasing tickets either online at shermantheater.com or over the phone at 570.422.2808.
