Lock Haven edges ESU in women's swimming

The Lock Haven University women's swim team won eight of 14 events to edge East Stroudsburg 131-130, Saturday in women's swimming.
Lock Haven won the first two events before Natalie Weingartner won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.54. Jill Beck won the 200-yard butterfly for the Warriors while Kim Jones took top honors in the 50-yard freestyle.
Weingartner also won the 200-yard backstroke and Kelly Wright won the 200-yard breaststroke. The team of Weingartner, Tori Bayliff, Jones and Wright concluded the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The Warriors will swim Tuesday evening at the University of Scranton at 7 p.m.
